Environmental and Recycling Surcharges

Televisions, computer monitors, CPUs, laptops, electronic notebooks, and printers that were going into landfills are now being collected, reused, recycled, and transformed into new products and economic opportunities.

In accordance with government programs, an Environmental Handling Fee will be applied to these electronics in a number of provinces where applicable. This surcharge covers the cost of collection, transportation, and recycling of electronic materials, the public information and awareness programs, and electronics related research.

The Brick charges Environmental Handling Fees on items that are shipped to, delivered to or picked up in provinces or territories where we are required to do so. The Environmental Handling Fee reflects the applicable rate and appears on your checkout page.

The Environmental Handling Fee shown in the shopping cart is GST and PST taxable, and is not eligible for No GST or No PST promotions (or any combination thereof). All fees and surcharges are required to be paid in full at the time of purchase and are not eligible for Do Not Pay promotions.
